Abstract (EN)
The aim of this research is to examine the relationship satisfactions of adults who are experiencing a romantic relationship within the context of attachment styles, self-esteem and interpersonal relationship types. The sample of the research consists of 143 females and 107 males, single or married 250 adults aged between 16-67, who are in a romantic relationship. The participants were practiced Personal Information Questionnaire, Experiences in Close Relationships Inventory-II, Self-Esteem Scale, Interpersonal Relationship Types Scale and Relationship Satisfaction Scale respectively. Data received were analyzed using SPSS 21 statistical software and the methods of Pearson Moment Product Coefficient of Correlation, Spearman-Brown Coefficient of Correlation and ANOVA were utilized. As the outcome of analyses shows, while there is not a significant difference between females and males in terms of relationship satisfaction, self-esteem and interpersonal relationship types; males were found to perform a more anxious attachment in terms of attachment styles. It was found out that the more the relationship satisfaction of adults improves, the more self-esteem and nourishing relationship styles increases, and meanwhile there would be a decrease in avoidant attachment styles. Concerning the relationship types, it was found out that individuals who experience a flirt relationship provided less satisfaction and have a lower self-esteem compared to the other relationship types. On the other hand, it was found out that married adults performed a less frustrative relationship style when compared to the other relationship types.
