Abstract (EN)

Tsarist Russia has gained a new identity since Peter I and has made continuous progress and breakthroughs. In the XIX th century, the first obstacle in front of the Russians who wanted to be effective in the field extending from Turkestan to China and India was the Kazakh Khanate. Gradually, Kazakhs were taken under captivity as a result of long years. The Kazakhs started to react harshly to the regulations and occupation movements from the first quarter of the XIX th century. Systematic and full-fledged rebellion movement took place during the time of Kenesarı Khan. Kenesarı's activities began to force the Russians. When the situation, which was observed in small skirmishes for a while, became serious, the Russians sent a significant force against the Kazakhs in 1844. Baron Petr Karlovich Uslar became one of the most important figures of the Russian Tsardom. In the following period, he rose to the rank of Major general. However, in the turbulent period of his life, when he suffered losses from his family, he took part in the detachment formed to suppress the great steppe rebellion in the Kazakh Khanate. He gained important experiences that would develop him for the rest of his life. According to the Russians, the aim of the expedition was to capture the rebel leader Kenesarı and put an end to the rebellion. Uslar was captured by the Cossacks as a result of an incident. The experiences, transfers, ways of life and cultures he gained among the Kazakhs deeply influenced Uslar. His essay written in 1848 contains important anecdotes and information for those who study the history and region of Kazakhstan. In the content of the work we will prepare, Uslar made significant references to us about the history of the Kazakhs, the establishment of the khanate, the importance of the region, the course of the rebellion and the history of Kazakh culture. In accordance with his field of interest, he conveys many linguistic, literary, epic and mythological stories. His meeting with Kenesarı and his impressions provide essential information about the Kazakh Khan. In our opinion, what he tells especially in the field of demonology and health is important for Kazakhs and Turkic history.
