Abstract (EN)

One of the biggest problems of the growing population is the need for energy. Energy needs are met by renewable and non-renewable energy sources. Considering the decrease in fossil fuels and the permanent damage to the environment, the trend towards renewable energy is increasing day by day. Renewable energy sources such as wind, solar, hydraulic and biomass energy have characteristics such as existence in nature, continuous self-renewal and reduction of environmental pollution. Energy needs are high in agricultural plants and rural areas. Wind energy from renewable energy sources provides great advantages in these areas to meet this need and reduce the costs of enterprises. Small-scale wind turbines in rural areas with wind potential are used in different fields such as grain grinding, water extraction and pump operation. In this study, a small scale Savonius wind turbine was designed to be used in applications requiring electricity in agriculture in rural areas with low wind speed potential. It is aimed to use more low wind speeds by placing a concentrator system around this wind turbine. In addition, the design of the wind turbine is made in two, three and four different blades. In this context, one of the other objectives of this study is to obtain the most efficient results from which blades. During the experiment, the different number of blades were examined and it was found that the Savonius wind turbine with 2 blades has higher performance. When the effect of the concentrator system was researched, it was found that for the concentrator system had no effect on the increase of mechanical power on the 3 and 4 blades while the 2-bladed turbine had higher mechanical power.
