Abstract (EN)

This thesis involves the vocabulary analysis of Rızaeddin Fahreddin?s ?Ahmet Midhat Efendi? which was written in Tatar language with Arabic letters. This booklet was published in Orenburg in 1913.This study has five chapters: Introduction, Transcription of the text to Latin alphabet, Adaptation of the text to Turkish of Turkey, Vocabulary of the text & Comparison with Ottoman Turkish, and lastly Conclusion. The Introduction contains knowledge about Rızaeddin Fahreddin and Ahmed Midhat. In the text part the text is transcribed from Arabic letters into Latin alphabet and after that it is transferred into Turkish. In the Vocabulary&Comparison after the analysis of the vocabulary part it is proved that Tatar Turkish was very similar to Ottoman Turkish. There are 3700 words. 3408 of these words are common and 292 words are different. Common words can be classified like this: 2918 of them are nouns, 425 words are verbs, 53 words are prepositions, 7 words are conjunctions and 5 words are exclamations. This statistics show that there is a similarity between Tatar Turkish and Ottoman Turkish by a ratio of 92%. Furthermore 2373 of common words are words taken from other languages, 1035 of them are Turkish originated. In the Conclusion the gender and origins of the common words, and the similarity between Ottoman Turkish and Tatar Turkish are depicted.Key Words:1.Rızaeddin Fahreddin2.İdil Ural intelectuals.3.Ahmed Midhat4.Religion5.Language
