Abstract (EN)
Aim: This research aims to examine the relationship between organizational blindness levels and personality traits of healthcare professionals. Material and Method: The study's population comprises healthcare professionals employed at the State and the Training Research Hospitals in Ordu. The sample group consists of 352 employees working as doctors, other healthcare personnel, and administrative and support personnel in both institutions. The participants received online administration of the Organizational Blindness and the Five-Factor Personality Scales. The data obtained were analyzed with the SPSS program, and independent sample t-test and ANOVA were used for comparisons. Due to the large unit differences between groups in the age variable, the Kruskal-Wallis test was used for the analysis. Organizational blindness and the personality characteristics of healthcare professionals were examined using correlation analysis. Results: According to the findings of this study on the relationship between Organizational Blindness and Personality, it has been determined that single health workers have higher organizational blindness than married health workers, that the level of responsibility increases with age and seniority, and the level of individuals' liability increases as education and income levels decrease. Conclusion: In this study on healthcare professionals found a link between organizational blindness and personality traits. It was concluded that as healthcare workers' extraversion levels increased, so did their organizational blindness to the routineness of their work. Extroverts, according to research, are less likely to notice changes or developments in the workplace as their jobs become more routine. There was no impact of personality traits on sector structure, individual factors, or organizational structure dimensions.
