Abstract (EN)

The Islamic jurisprudence science, which guides the religious life of the society, was one of the fields that Bukhari was interested in. In addition to collecting authentic hadiths, he also attempted to derive legal rulings from the Qur'anic verses and hadiths. He presented this, especially in his work, in a unique way through the chapter titles he chose. This topic has been addressed in order to reveal Bukhari's juridical accumulation and its connection with the universal and juridical principles found in the chapters of al-Jami' al-Sahih. The thesis is structured into an introduction and three chapters. In the introduction, information is provided about the subject, significance, aim, methodology, and sources of the research. The first chapter discusses Bukhari's life, his scholarly personality, his teachers and students, his scholarly journeys, his position in jurisprudence and hadith sciences, his works, and his famous work al-Jami' al-Sahih. In the second chapter, the concept of a legal principle (qa'ida), other related concepts, and the sections of legal principles are explained. The third chapter, which forms the main part of the thesis, examines the chapter titles in Bukhari's al-Jami' al-Sahih and explores various legal and general principles by consulting other sources. Bukhari's use or reference to legal and general principles in the chapter titles of his work laid the groundwork for the formation of his jurisprudential understanding and the determination of legal rulings. His jurisprudential views and approach to the subject have drawn attention due to their unique nature.
