Abstract (EN)
In this thesis work, "U" ^"238" "," 〖"Th" 〗^"232 " " and " "K" ^"40" activity concentrations in soil samples from 13 different locations in Sakarya City have been measured using a 2x2ʺ NaI(Tl) detector. Results have been compared with the mean values for Turkey and the world, as well as the previous measurement results for Sakarya, available in the literature. It has been seen that the activity concentrations obtained in this work are in a general agreement with the mean values in the literature. It has also been noted that U238, Th232 and K40 activity concentrations in one of the samples are higher that those of the mean values in Turkey and the world.
