Abstract (EN)

The cultural, socioeconomic and architectural texture of the settlements in the Havza district of Samsun province is one of the rare settlements that has survived until today. The existing features in this settlement constitute cultural heritage and it is thought that the heritage should shed light on future generations. For this purpose, located within the borders of these settlements, which contain unique examples in terms of construction techniques and material use; A total of 40 houses were examined by selecting 5 traditional houses from each neighborhood of Bahçelievler, Ilıca, Çakıralan, Cevizlik, Mürsel, Mesudiye, İmircik and Paşapınarı. Reinforced concrete structures built in recent history are excluded from the thesis study. Physical evaluations of the settlements were evaluated based on the data obtained as a result of on-site examinations and photographs. Traditional houses were analyzed by analyzing construction techniques and materials, structural situation, doors, windows, roofs and number of floors. The Ali Osman Ağa Mansion in Bahçelievler District, which was built with traditional construction techniques, should be protected and the building in question should be ensured to survive so that future generations can see these techniques. In the results of working; The existing conditions were improved by preserving the existing architectural texture in the settlements and using traditional construction techniques. In addition, it has been stated that it is necessary to ensure that the original quality of social and physical space is preserved by increasing the quality of life and the original quality of social and physical space, and to bring applicable solutions
