Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, a virtual laboratory environment was designed that could be an alternative to laboratory applications of electronics and digital courses in engineering education. The system enables experiments used in digital electronics, electronic circuits and digital communication courses to be implemented on a virtual reality-based platform. Thanks to its modular architecture, it is aimed to easily add new experiments and a flexible structure has been created. The functionality of the virtual laboratory was tested on basic electronic circuits, logic gates and combinational circuits. The findings demonstrated that the system produced outputs consistent with its theoretical accuracy tables and that students were able to conduct experiments in a safe, accessible and reproducible manner. Thanks to the integration of the log system, all student interactions are recorded, allowing educators to monitor and evaluate these processes in real time. This allows for data-based analysis of learning processes. Performance tests were conducted on Oculus Quest 2 and Quest 3 devices, and it was observed that the new generation hardware runs the application faster and smoother. From an educational perspective, the system provided a cost advantage by eliminating the need for physical materials and increased accessibility for disadvasntaged groups. As a result, the developed virtual laboratory offers both technical accuracy and educational contribution with its modular design, log system, educator panel and performance tests. With these features, it is considered an innovative and sustainable learning environment in engineering education. In addition, in line with the opinions received from the field expert, it has been demonstrated that the developed system provides a functional infrastructure that will contribute to engineering education.
