Abstract (EN)
How relationship with the `other? is conceptualized in literatures of philosophy,psychoanalysis, anthropology and film studies has been reviewed. The historical developmentof artworks and processes that relate with an `other? in the world and concepts suggested todefine these artworks and processes have been summarized. As specific examples fromIstanbul, how Room Project, Kutluğ Ataman?s video installations Women Who Wear Wigsand Cuba, Selda Asal?s Restore Hope project, Hale Tenger?s spatial installations Bosnia-Herzegovina, We Couldn?t Go Inside Because We Were Always Inside We Couldn?t GoOutside Because We Were Always Outside and The Closet relate with the `other? and`otherness? has been discussed based upon selected theoretical conceptualizations.Keywords: `Other?, intesubjectivity, relational aesthetics, Room Project, Kutluğ Ataman,Selda Asal, Hale Tenger
