Abstract (EN)

Our country has an important place in the world's sunflower and sunflower oil production. In the production of refined sunflower oil in each year, large amounts of perlite wastes came out during the filtration stage. Oily perlite wastes are sent to licensed recycling facilities. After these recovery works, waste perlites containing certain amount of oil that cannot be taken in recycling facilities are disposed of by being stored in non-hazardous waste storage facilities with wild storage. Similarly, micronized expanded perlite is produced during the clarification and filtering processes in wine production. The perlite wastes generated from here are also stored in non-hazardous waste storage facilities. The waste perlites generated in these two production areas are not utilized in any way. Many studies have been conducted to examine the pozzolanic effect of the expanded perlite obtained by expanding the raw perlite at high temperatures. In this study, waste perlites generated in refined sunflower oil production and wine production were obtained and brought to the appropriate grain distribution to be used in the study, where they would have a pozzolanic effect, and they were dried in an oven. In this research, the pozzolanic properties of waste perlites were examined and their effects on the physical and mechanical properties of concrete were investigated in case they are used in concrete production. Waste perlite from vegetable oil production and 20 grains by using waste perlite from wine production were replaced with weight percent 0%, 5%, 10%, 15% and 20% waste perlite and cement in proportion to the amount of cement, making 10 Concrete production was carried out using 200 kg/m3 and 300 kg/m3 cement based on the ± 1 cm slump value. Various physical and mechanical tests were carried out on the hardened concrete samples. The results obtained from the experiments were evaluated by statistical methods. With the use of 5%, 10%, 15% and 20% of both perlite wastes by replacing waste perlite with cement, there is a decrease in the compressive strength of concrete for 7, 28 and 90 days compared to concrete produced without waste. Compared to the concretes produced without using chemical additives, higher pressure values were obtained in the concretes produced with both waste perlite types. As the rate of waste perlite usage in the produced concrete increases, the split tensile strength values decrease. As a result of the evaluation, it was concluded that the waste perlite produced during the production of vegetable oil can be used at a maximum rate of 5% for the production of concrete, and the waste perlite generated during the wine production can be used in the range of 15-20% for the production of concrete.
