The ecologycal demands of the potatoes (Solanum tuberasum L.) grown around Sandıklı (Afyonkarahisar)

This study is conducted to analyze the earth samples taken from a town attached to (the district of the city Afyonkarahisar) and seven different villages' agricurtural estates. By identifying their physical and chemical properties and richress levels. To this end, the earth samples are analyzed in terms of saturation and qualty pH, electrical canductivity, lime, organic substance, potesssium and phosphone. According to the results, each sample is classified by the ultimate valves specified for soil warths and confronted by comparing. Hereunder, four of the sampling fields (Sandıklı, Akharım ,Çevrepınar and Ballık) are deteceted as clayed and loamy soil, two of the sampling fields (Kızılçam and Örenkaya) as dune soil, two of the sampling fields (Akin and Kusura) as loamy soil , and one of the sampling fields (Kızık) as clayed soil. In addition to this, the samples are appointed in the "slightly alcalic" class in terms of pH, the "poor class" in terms of lime, the "little and too little class "in terms of organic substance, the "very rich class" in terms of potassium and the "average class" in terms of phospone. When the analysis results are evaluated, it is suggested that the soils in the sampling areas taken from the Sandıklı District should be examined in terms of potato cultivation, fertilization programs should be created and the producers' awareness should be raised.
