Abstract (EN)
Barley net blotch disease caused by Pyrenophora teres is one of the important foliage diseases of barley. In this study, P. teres-infected barley and wild barley samples were collected from all districts of Şanlıurfa. In order to determine the pathotypes of barley net blotch disease in Şanlıurfa, 47 Pyrenophora teres f. teres isolates and 37 Pyrenophora teres f. maculata isolates obtained from Hordeum vulgare were selected. In addition, 40 P. teres f. teres isolates from Hordeum bulbosum and Hordeum spontaneum and 22 P. teres f. maculata isolates from H. spontaneum were selected. Selected isolates were tested on 25 barley differential test genotypes. From 47 P. teres f. teres isolates obtained from H. vulgare 37 pathotypes and from 37 P. teres f. maculata isolates obtained from H. vulgare 25 pathotypes were determined. From 40 P. teres f. teres isolates obtained from H. bulbosum and H. spontaneum 31 pathotypes and from 22 P. teres f. maculata isolates obtained from H. spontaneum 9 pathotypes were determined. From 87 P. teres f. teres isolates obtained from H. vulgare, H. bulbosum and H. spontaneum 63 pathotypes were determined. Five pathotypes were found to be common pathotypes between H. vulgare and wild barleys. From 59 P. teres f. maculata isolates obtained from H. vulgare and H. spontaneum 31 pathotypes were determined. Three pathotypes were found to be common pathotypes between H. vulgare and H. spontaneum. In Şanlıurfa, P. teres f. teres isolates showed a higher rate of pathogenic diversity. The results showed that wild barleys also contributed significantly to the pathotype diversity of P. teres.
