Abstract (EN)

ABSTRACT In this study, the effect of pollution, that also has an impact on Dardanelles, on water and fish microflora, were determined in Sancay stream, Çanakkale. Water and fish samples were collected periodicaly every three months from three locations between October 2002 and September 2003. Total aerobic bacteria count and Enterobacter, Pseudomonas, Enterococcus, Staphylococcus, Laktobacittus and fungus that are normally found in water were analyzed. In addition to microbiological investigations, the physicochemical water parameters such as temperature, pH and salinity were determined. Seasonal and stational correlations were searched. Microorganizm quantity in water varied within the year. Microbiologic analyses reveale that the variation of water microflora did not affect the microflora of fish. Microflora of fish did not differ between or within the fish species that were captured from diffrent stations. Key Words : Sancay, microflora, fish microflora, Çanakkale II
