Abstract (EN)
In the scope of this master thesis, the geological and geotechnical characteristics of the grounds in Malatya province, Battalgazi district, Sancaktar district have been examined. For this purpose, 15 drillings were made for the geotechnical purposes in the study area, and the consistency and tightness of the grounds were determined with standard penetration impact number. The samples representing the ground were taken and classification, physical, mechanical and consolidation properties were examined. In the stud yarea is mainly composet of there are low plasticity inorganic clay and silt with quartner age. In alluvium there is underground water between 3.00-7.00 m depth. The uncoated cohesion without clay and silt consolidation was calculated as 30.0-61.0 kN / m3, the internal friction angle was 5-12 degrees, and the natural unit volume was 17.73-20.02 kN / m3. Liquefaction potential is not expected in the grounds of the study area. Keywords: Sancaktar neighborhood, Geotechnical, Carrying Power, Battalgazi, Geotechnical Feature
