Abstract (EN)
Objective: SATIS-Stroke questionnaire (SATIS-Stroke) measure perceived satisfaction in the activity and participation in patients after chronic stroke. The aim of this study is to investigate the validity of the Turkish version of SATIS-Storke. Materials and Methods: Translation, back translation and cross cultural adaptation of the SATIS-Storke into Turkish was done according to the suggested guidelines. The study included 74 patients (with a mean age of 0,2 ±11,7 years) with chronic stroke who were admitted to the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Neurology, Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Medicine. Demographic variables were recorded. Brunnstrom stage, Mini Mental State Examination (MMDD), Beck Depression İnverntory (BDE), Barthel İndex (Bİ), Shorth Form-36 (SF-36) ve Stroke İmpact Skala-16 (SIS) was used to measure body functions, activity, participation and quality of life. The reliability of SATIS-stroke was assessed by test-retest reliability and internal consistency. Cronbach's alpha coefficient was calculated to determine internal consistency. We evaluated the construct validity by exploring correlations between the SATIS-stroke and SF-36, SIS scales. The factors associated with measure perceived satisfaction in the activity and participation were also analyzed. Results: Cronbach's alpha coefficient for internal consistency was 0.918. In test- retest relability analysis high correlations between total test-retest SATIS-stroke skores (r:0.976, p<0,01). There was a significant positive correlation (p<0.01) between SATIS-stroke and subscales of SF-36 except BP(r:0.918 p:0,91). Also There was a significant positive correlation (p<0.01) between SATIS-stroke and SIS subgroubs (p<0.01). When the correlations between SATIS-stroke and age, gender, the marital status, education level, side affected by the stroke (left / right), duration of stroke, stroke type (hemorrhagic / ischemic) were assessed, SATIS-Stroke was correlated with education level and duration of stroke (p<0.01). Conclusions: The Turkish version of SATIS-stroke questionare was found valid and reliable. Keywords: Stroke, satisfaction, participation, ICF
