Abstract (EN)

Distinction of the digital architectural applications from traditional architectural application that their design and production processes are done through computable data in the digital medium. This data shows continuity on both design and construction processes. "Digital continuity" may be refered as the usability of info-based data which is usually used in the initial design stage, a three-dimensional digital model or performance data in the use of design development and production stages. Digital and algorithmic structure behind the computer gives numerous possibilities to the designer from the traditional design medium. Design and construction processes develop as intertwined procedures. Same info-based model is also used to shape the structure, form and materials. This study aims to examine the changes in the architectural construction process which is created by digital based design techniques and manufacturing technologies. In this scope, this research report will take a closer look at the construction processes of digital architectural applications. In the conclusion, how digital design and manufacturing technologies in the architectural construction process transforms building form, structure and material usage will be discussed.
