Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, information about the installation stages of photovoltaic power generation plants is given and the effect of the inverter power sizing factor on production is examined over two different installed power plants. In order to determine the inverter power sizing factor, a study was carried out on the simulation program and the optimum inverter sizing factor was determined, and the effect of this factor on production was evaluated with real production data. In the study, first of all, information about renewable energy sources and their situation in Turkey is given. The systems that produce energy from the sun are briefly explained and the photovoltaic systems and the installation stages are given. Information about the laws and amendments regarding the renewable energy legislation is given. An algorithm for the determination process was created by explaining the inverter power sizing factor value. In the study, information about the characteristics of two power plants with the same characteristics in which the inverter power dimensioning value is examined is given, the calculations made and the steps followed are explained. Studies have been made on the PV*SOL simulation program with different inverter power dimensioning values and the system costs that these values will create are presented. The new power sizing factor value was determined by looking at the system cost and energy production. While the power sizing factor value was 1.166 when the system was first installed, it was determined as 1.40305 as a result of the simulation. In line with this value determined for System 1, a power increase of 20.33% was made. The production values of System 1 and System 2 were compared and it was observed that there was an increase of 13.83% in production.
