Abstract (EN)

Additive manufacturing technology has become a production method that stands out among today's technologies and provides optimum benefit in terms of benefit, cost, realisability and scrap waste. Depending on the developments in materials, software and laser technologies in the field of engineering, it is possible to reach very complex materials with different strength, hardness, density and other properties required in the fields of aerospace, automotive, energy and health with a single production method in additive manufacturing. Selective laser melting is one of the leading additive manufacturing methods for producing materials with the desired functions. It can meet the desired material properties at a high rate. In this production method, production parameters have great importance on the final product. Therefore, optimum parameters should be used to obtain the desired product in production methods. In this thesis, surface roughness, density and other properties were investigated on samples produced by selective laser melting method with different scanning strategies and parameters. Small cubic samples (12x12x12 mm³) were produced in two different powder size ranges (0-53 µm and 20-53 µm) at constant layer thickness by varying the laser power, scanning speed, scanning distance and laser compensation parameters in 23 different combinations. The densities of these samples were measured with the help of Archimedes' principle and optical microscope imaging and 5 samples were selected by ranking based on the density response and subsequent tests were carried out. Mechanical tests were carried out on the produced parts based on the surface roughness value. As a result, the optimum parameters to be used in terms of surface roughness and density value for two different powder size ranges were obtained.
