Photometry of some selected the eclipsing binary systems containing delta Scuti type pulsators

In this thesis, the results photometric analyses of two Algol type binaries, EF Her and BG Peg, containing a ? Scuti type pulsator has been presented. While EF Her has been observed during 2007 and 2009; the observations of BG Peg carried out during 2008 observing seasons at Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University Observatory. These light curves have been analyzed with Wilson-Devinney (W-D) (Wilson ve Devinney 1971, van Hamme ve Wilson 2005) code and also the physical and geometric parameters of the systems were determined. The theoretical light curves of the systems have been constructed using the parameters obtained from the light curve analysis. To exclude the proximity and eclipse effects from the light curves, the theoretical curves subtracted from the observational data. The frequency analysis has been performed using the resudial light curves for each system and the power and amplitude spectrums have been obtained. For the analysis, we have used PERIOD 04 package ( Lenz and Breger, 2005). The mode analysis of EF Her has been made using FAMIAS code (Zima, 2008) and we determined the l degree as zero. According to l value, it is found that the hotter component of the system is pulsating in the fundamental radial mode.In this thesis, the light curve ad frequency analysis of EF Her and BG Peg has been made for the first time in detail. The properties of the systems and also the pulsational behaviour of their hotter components have been determined.
