Abstract (EN)

The study comprises synthesis of calix[4]arene which contains pyrimidil thio-amide groups on lower rim and liquid-liquid extraction and biological activity of synthesized compound. Structures of these compounds were characterized by spectroscopic techniques (FTIR, 1H NMR), elemental analysis. 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25,26,27,28-tetra-hydroxycalix[4]-arene (1) was synthesized according to the methods described in the literatures. Compound 2 was synthesized by treatment with p-nitrobenzylbromide in the acetonitrile and K2CO3 solution. Compound 3 was obtained by means of treating compound 2 with benzylbromide in dissolved anhydrous THF, DMF, NaH and benzylbromide. Nitro groups of this compound were reduced into amino groups by treatment Raney-Ni and hydrazine in a solution that contain ethylacetate-methanol. The compound 5 was obtained by treatment amino derivative of calix[4]arene (4) with 2-(pyrimidin-2-ylthio)acetyl chloride in the acetonitrile and K2CO3 solution. All of the compounds were used in liquid-liquid extraction studies in order to observe their cation transport propertieswith picrate solution of transition metal (Cu2+, Ni2+, Cd2+ , Hg2+ and Pb2+) cation. Investigation of antimicrobial activity of synthesized substances (4 and 5) was performed by using studies Escherichia coli ATCC 25922, Klepsiella pneumoniae, Staphylococcus aureus MRRL B767, Pseudomanas aeruginosa, Salmonella typhimurium NRRLB 4420, Bacillus subtilis NRS 744, Bacillus cereus ATCC 11778 bacteriums and Maya candida fungus for biological activity. According to the extraction results, compound 4 wasn't show any selectivity against cations of metals, but compound 5 was observed selectivity to the Hg and Pb metals. Antimicrobial activity studies showed that the compound 4 wasn?t any antimicrobial activity as well as the compound 5 was shown some effects against Salmonella typhimurium NRRLB 4420, Bacillus cereus ATCC 11778, Stapylococcus aereus MRRL B767, Bacillus subtilis NRS 744. Keywords: calixarene, solvent extraction, transition metal, biological activity
