Abstract (EN)

ABSTRACT: During past two decades amplitude variation with offset (AVO) is a known technique that has been used in direct hydrocarbon exploration and exploitation, which uses the amplitudes of pre-stack seismic data to improve the reservoir forecasting in petroleum industry. There are significant number of studies in literature that incorporate with AVO analysis and inversion technique, especially in gas reservoirs to improve the risk assertion. In this thesis, we apply AVO technique to map the attribute anomalies of the reservoir to survey the capability of AVO technique to indicate the exact location of the gas zones in approved hydrocarbon reservoir using the well log and seismic data with 2-D seismic interpretation method. Keywords: AVO Technique, AVO Attribute, Hydrocarbon Exploration, Gas Reservoir, Pre-Stack Seismic Data, Rock Physics, Reflection Seismology. …………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
