Abstract (EN)
Primary Health Care " are getting more significance related to the improvements in health systems and medical sciences. Neighborhood clinics are one of the most important organizations of the primary health care. Neighborhood clinics are established in our country in order to prevent excessively ( crowdness ) agglomeration in hospitals by giving primary health care out of hospitals. For all these investments there is not any particular and detailed architectural program and design criterion. This study aims to propose the architectural programming and design criterion for neighborhood clinics. For this purpose firstly existing health care system in our country is examined. Secondly existing neighborhood clinics in Ankara evaluated. Later on, some of the successful examples are analyzed by literature searching and compared with our neighborhood clinics. After these evaluations, architectural programming and design criterion are submitted. Consequently, physical layout models for specific units or space groups in neighborhood clinics are proposed.
