Abstract (EN)
Oxidative stress is described as the formation of toxic effect due to thedeficiency of cellular antioxidative level toward the level of reactive oxygen species. This phenomenon is either described as the deficiency of antioxidative defense system,or the excess production of oxygen species enhances the stress, or else both areresponsible for this. The excess production of ROS or the decrease in the antioxidativedefense system could be the cause for oxidative stress. The peroxides that cause DNAchain breaking and lipid peroxidation, the reactive oxygen species such as hydroxylradicals and super oxide radical etc. and carcinogenesis are the results of DMBA that isknown to be the major cause the increment in lipid peroxidation level and the oxidativedamage in the rat liver. The antioxidant formed either physiologically or taken as anexogen is responsible for the detoxification of reactive oxygen species that might beformed as a result of environmental and cellular factors. As a fundamental trace elements, selenium as a part of antioxidative defensesystem is responsible for the immune system as part of enzymes in defense system.Organoselenium compounds present in the laboratories that were prepared syntheticallythat show the anti carcinogenesis effect in the animal studies, thus these compoundsshow the similar trend for the preventing illness, preservative effect, and the extensionof life period. Due to the fact that organoselenium compounds show betterantioxidative effect than classical selenium made a new era of preparing novel syntheticselenium compounds. Because the selenium has an antioxidative properties toward thedamaged induced cells, organoselenium compounds prepared in our laboratories, Se Iand Se II, have tested for DMBA and chemically induced rat blood and liver tissues, and the results showed that endogen antioxidant enzymatic activity change and thepreventing of oxidative damage in lipid peroxidation are important findings in vivo ofthis research. The results are also rationalized with pathological in vitro studies in livertissues.
