Abstract (EN)
Boron (B) is one of the important micronutrient which is involved in plant biochemical and physiological metabolism. In the thesis study, the effect of five different boron doses (0, 0.2, 1, 5 and 10 mg kg-1 B) on potato plant (Royal Industrial variety) dry matter yield and B concentration in shoot and petiole parts were investigated under greenhouse conditions. Increasing the boron levels application up to does 5 mg kg-1 soil were increased dry matter yield with 10 mg kg-1 (ppm) soil application decreased the yield increases. For both of sampling times (first and second sampling) increasing B level application increased plants B concentration. However there were no statistically differences in between both of sampling times the concentrations in petiole part of plants. According to obtained results, it is shown that the soil applied B is taken up and transported to the necessary part of plant by xylem system. Although there are numerical similarities in the concentration of B among the different petioles, it seems that some of B is transported by phloem transmission bundles as well.
