Abstract (EN)

This study was performed to determine comparative effects of FeSO4.7H2O enriched organic fertilizers with various sources on the contents of total and active Fe in the test plants and available Fe status in the soil. The greenhouse experiment was established in randomized block design with three replications. Cucumber was used as a test plant. Mushroom compost, vermicompost, farmyard compost, poultry compost, leonardite and control as organic fertilizers were applied into the pots alone and in combination with FeSO4.7H2O. Amounts of organic fertilizers applied were calculated on the basis of having 50 mg Fe kg-1 in each pot.Amount of FeSO4.7H2O was calculated in order to have 25 mg Fe kg-1 in each pot. Base fertilization including macro and micro nutrient elements except for Fe was applied to the soil before the experiment was established. The plants were harvested after 2 months from the experiment was started. Active Fe contents in leaves and total Fe, some macro and micro nutrient element contents in leaves and different fruit parts were determined. According to the results obtained from the experiment, different treatments in the experiment changed significantly active and total Fe contents in the plant parts. At the same time, alone and FeSO4.7H2O enriched organic fertilizers affected some nutrient element contents in the both leaf and fruit samples.
