Educational issues of ceramic teachers in the ceramic education which is given in high school (case of Ankara province)

The purpose of this research is to describe the educational issues of ceramic teachers in high school which ceramic education is given. In this research, unstructured interview technique which is one of the qualitative research methods was used. Nine ceramics teachers who are currently serving in ?100. Yıl Anadolu Meslek ve Kız Meslek Lisesi? and ?Ankara Teknik Öğretim Olgunlaşma Enstitüsü? has been created as a working group for this research. Interviews were recorded in audio recording device, then make the content analysis findings were reached by. According to research findings, the content analysis; Ceramic Education Programs and Reflections of these Programs on the Quality of Education and Training Students, The Reflections of the Courses and the Period of both Theoretical and Practical Lessons on Ceramics Education and Ceramics Teachers, Ceramics Teacher Competencies related to the Field and their Service Training, Teacher Requirements, Application Courses and Studio needs in Ceramics Education, Admission Criteria to the School and their effects on Educational Achievement, Difficulties of the Teachers when starting to their Profession, Evaluation of issues related to Ceramics Teacher?s Problems is given under the headings.According to research, between the years 2004-2009 the Department of Ceramics which is part of vocational high school did not graduates any student, again teachers are dispirited because of insufficient demand, uneven distribution of teachers to the schools and finally improvement of schools urgently needed was concluded.
