Using the different kind of ceramic body and it's newness in ceramic education

iiABSTRACTIn this research local clays is mixed with the paper paste which producedfrom the waste paper.This mixtures is examined whether or not used for ceramic artworks for education porposes.Firstly all the papers is classified and then amount of ash content isdetermined after burning. The properties of the different kind of paper fibreous andtheir homegenous mixture whit water are examined.The effect of the bacteriside tothe mixability of the paper fibreous and clay mixture are found out . Secondly theproperties of clay are researched. The solution in the water , slip casting behovior,the reaction of the HCl acid, particle size disturubition are tested.Different kind of paper fibreous and clay mixture is became homogenousmixture by using in a ball mill. All the comparation tests are made before and afteradding the paper e.i.drying state, lineer shrinkage after drying and after firing,moulus of rupture, plasticity and porosity. In addition to mineral content of clays isdetermined by using the differential thermal analysis (DTA).In the end photocopy paper and slip casting clay mixtures give the bestperformance when the mixing. So this mixture are choosen for use all the tests beforeand after firing properties and colouring. Although in addition of paper paste to theclay mixtures decreased plasticity of clay there is not any shaping problems. All theproducts are made from paper clay are became lose weight. In addition to thismixtures has the same behavior in the all production steps e.i. drying, firing, shaping.Moreover some transition metal oxides are added paperclay recipes as body stain.Uncoulered paperclay bodies are fired and then glazed with the colouring glazes. Soglaze body fiting are examed. Some of these glazes are peeled, cracked or crawledbut when used lead glazes these defects are not appeared. As a result paperclay canuse in the ceramic education as a new ceramic body.
