Abstract (EN)

In this study, VC, FFC casting muds, which are used as a general recipe in the sanitary ware industry and trial recipe of Al2O3 REÇ, are taken as reference. Laboratory trials were carried out with VC, FFC and Al2O3 REÇ muds in the cross-sectional area of 6 mm – 8 mm – 10 mm and the reference 12 mm. In these trial results, the effect on the physical properties of the product was examined and the raw material, natural gas and CO2 emission gains were included in the study result. There were no significant changes in shrinkage results for VC and FFC in laboratory trials. For these sludges, the deformation and raw strength increased as the section got thinner. The mass of the trial products will decrease due to the thinning of the cross-sectional area. Compared to the 12mm cross-sectional product taken as a reference, it has been observed that it provides a gain of 16.67% for 10mm cross-sectional area and 26.67% for 8mm cross-sectional area in proportion to the mass in raw material, natural gas and CO2 emissions. The importance of sludge rheology and casting criteria, optimization of drying conditions in cross-sectional thinning studies for conventional and pressure casting has emerged. It has been concluded that under current operating conditions, it is possible to design a recipe for thin section products and a new recipe should be studied.
