Abstract (EN)
Human-being formed soil and discovered to fire the clay he'd formed. The human-being who felt a desire of changing his environment and the tilings he used by adorning, at first made it have a different and desired appearance regarding to its first state by adorning them with his hands. Coloured slips and after discovering the glaze in Egypt (B.C. 4000-3100) Fenstration Sgrafitto, Excised decoration, open work, Adding, Slip, Slipping, Mshima, Macho, Terra Cotta, Terra Sigilata Mayolika and the methods such as glaze-up/down gave many options to human being in Treating Ceramic (ware) surfaces. In treating ceramic surfaces the method Fenstration explained as the blanks provided by cutting like cage has been uset in many cultires in the history. While having some rises in ceramics, the blanks opened on surface are tranparent and charming; so it directed human-being into different perspectives. In the first and second chapters of this research, the definition of ceramic and treatment of ceramic surfaces and their historical development have been studied. In the third chapter, the definition of Fenstration method and its historical development, forming, application of Fenstration, drying, firing and slipping phases have been given. In the fourth chapter the other methods of ceramic surface treatment; in the fift chapter the Fenstration decorated ceramics applied in Far East, Europe and Mediterranean have been studied. And in the sixt chapter, the artists who produced intensive products have been studied; Fenstration decorated applications have been made and the research has been tried to fullfil.
