Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to introduce the works of Sermet Muhtar Alus,analyse them and determine his place in the history of Turkish Literature.His works consist of novels, stories, plays, his memoirs, encyclopediaarticles, newspaper articles, a Turkish- French Dictionary, a guide to Istanbuland a history of children.In this study we have written his life story and analysed his novels,stories and plays and prepared an extensive bibliography including all of hisworks.During this study, we have read everything of his that we could find inthe libraries in Turkey and the Turkish State Archives. We have also met hisgrand daughters. In addition, we have examined the newspapers thatcontained his articles, novels, plays and memoirs.Thesis has supplement.
