Abstract (EN)

Abrasion is a condition that causes material loss in industrial applications. Today, there are so many studies about abrasion mechanisms and prevention. Places where abrasion is most common are mills, gear wheels, soil contact surfaces of agricultural equipments, nail tips of earth excavators, dozer jaws, scissors blades, mill crushers and hard surfaces of rubbing discs, these parts are constantly exposed to friction. Breaking or cracking is observed in the machine elements by the effect of friction. Since it is both time consuming and uneconomic to re-purchase these pieces, it is best to repair them with a hard filler. Filing is made in order to bring the wearable machine parts to their previous dimensions. In this thesis study hard filling material was made by using electrode with four different contents. Hardness and microstructure images of samples made of hardfacing material were taken. The wear behavior of Pin-On Disk under load of 10 N was investigated. Welding results have been investigated by considering the carbon and chromium ratios of welded wires. In the investigation of the abrasion behavior, volume and weight losses were determined every 200 meters of the specimens using profilometer and precision scale.
