Abstract (EN)

The machine comes into contact with each other due to the machine parts or the surrounding environment. A damaged surface material can have an effect until it stops production. Surface treatment is applied to prevent material loss and increase the usability of the main material. It provides resistance to abrasion and corrosion by giving hardness to the material surface without playing with the aim of the main material of the surface treatment. In this study, hard chrome plating was performed on the structural shaft steel of St 37-2 with low mechanical properties by electrolytic plating method. Temperature, current density and anode cathode distance were used as variable in the plating process. In coatings made at different current densities (25-40-55 Amp / dm2), at different temperatures (40-60 oC) and at different anode-cathode spacings (100-200mm), coating hardness, friction and abrasion resistance, thickness, coating Adhesiveness and mechanical properties. Experimental studies have shown that the results of the laboratory studies on the samples obtained as a result of the studies yielded appropriate values of coating quality, thickness, hardness, abrasion resistance, coating adherence, coating area and point and line analysis results on the base material. The results obtained under these values are observed to have a positive effect on the mechanical properties of the material when applied to even the lowest parameters of the low carbon structure in the light. It was observed that the hardness, abrasion resistance and coating thicknesses of the samples increased with the increase of the current density during the coating process. It was found that the hardness decreased as the bath temperature decreased, and the hardness decreased after 40 amp / dm2 of the current density. At the highest hardness level, wear was determined at least. It has been observed that wear resistance increases with increasing temperature. The thermal shock tests performed showed color changes at 550 oC and 750 oC when no change was observed at 350 oC in the coating on the surface of the resultant sample. As a result of the experimental studies, the most efficient coating was observed at sample number 11 whereas the low yield coating was found at sample number 2.
