Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this study is to compare analog-based processors with software-based processors in the context of sound recording. In line with this objective, differences between analog-based processors and software-based DSP processors during vocal and guitar loops, analog-based processors and software processors during mixing, and analog-based processors and software plug-ins were examined. The research employed a descriptive analysis method, where the universe consisted of software programs from music software and computers operating with these programs, as well as all analog-based processors. The sample included software-based processors for tone-frequency-dynamics operating within a DAW (digital audio workstation) and analog-based processors. Pre-prepared vocal and guitar loops were processed using analog and software-based signal processors and gathered in the Cubase 12 DAW from Steinberg. For the analysis and interpretation of findings, tools such as the Fabfilter Pro-Q3 equalizer spectrum analyzer, mvmeter2 developed by TB Pro Audio, Izotope's Insight 2 Pro metering, and Spectrogram were utilized. As a result of the study, it was found that data obtained from analog-based processors and software-based processors in the sound recording process differed in various aspects.
