Abstract (EN)
Revan is an ancient Turkish homeland. The region has been under Turkish rule for many years and bears Turkish traces both demographically and culturally. Revan, which has witnessed the struggle for influence of different powers in the historical process, has entered into a demographic and cultural transformation process that will take place from Revan to Yerevan with the Russian domination. In this study, impressions about the region through the eyes of travellers who travelled to the region in the 19th century will be conveyed and information about the demographic, cultural, social and political situation of Revan in the historical process will be given.
