Shei̇kh Muhammed Saîd Seydâ El-Cezerî's life and sufi̇sti̇c vi̇ews

This thesis aims to give information concerning the life and sufistic views of Sheikh Muhammad Saîd Seydâ al-Cezerî, whom has grown up in South-eastern Anatolia. This study consists of an introduction, two parts and a conclusion. In the introduction, the history, geographical location of Cizre and important scholars that have been brought up in this geography, and the formation of the Hâlidîye branch of the Naqshbandi sufy way are briefly given. In the first part, the birth of Seydâ al-Cezerî, his childhood, madrasah and dervish convent education, his marriages and children, students and caliphs and the work he has written has been given. The second part, has been formed of information concerning the views and opinions of Seydâ al-Cezerî on Sufy life and its concepts. In the conclusion, information that is thought to be beneficial to consider regarding Seydâ al-Cezerî's life and opinions has been stated.
