Abstract (EN)

In power plant one of the biggest defect cutting off production is boiler tubes failures. In this study, power plants that cause power interruptions on the cooling water pipe rupture were investigated. Furthermore, Seyitomer Power Plant cooling water tests were conducted to measure the corrosion rate. Cooling water pH, calcium carbonate, zinc, phosphate, oxygen, conductivity, and the amounts of iron have been identified. Photocell system which is flowed cooling water has been connected corrosion coupons for calculating corrosion rate of the system. Important measures that led to production losses and adversely affecting the lives of power plants, boiler tubes rupture occurs due to corrosion and deposit thickness. Corrosion and deposit thickness were investigated based on the damaged boiler tubes. The most important factors that affect power plant tube corrosion is pH and temperature of water.
