Abstract (EN)

The Mesnevi of Mevlânâ Celâleddîn-i Rûmî, one of the most important Sufi poets of Classical Turkish literature, is an important work in every sense. This work, which affected not only the Turkish world but also all humanity, includes all subjects of Sufi thought and is considered among the most important works of Islamic culture. The work, written down by Hüsameddin Çelebi in the 1260s, is in 6 volumes and consists of 25,618 couplets. It was written in Persian language and in the aruz "Fâilâtün- Fâilâtün- Fâilün" pattern. Mevlana talked about good morals, honesty, worship and being an exemplary human in his work. Its subject is generally love. In Mesnevi, which tells short stories, extensive comments are made by placing verses and hadiths between the stories. Mevlana's thoughts and views have reached large masses through the translations of Masnavi. Many studies have been done on this valuable work of Mevlana. The first of these are the commentaries that enable a better understanding of Mesnevi. These works present us in detail what kind of mentality Mevlana had and what is meant by the couplets. Our study includes folios "121a-160b" of Mehmed el-Mevlevi's Mesnevi commentary called "Mesnevî-yi Ma'nevî".
