Ottoman state officers bron in Kosovo according to the Register-i Ahvâl Books (1834-1889)

Today, state translations, called biographies, are records that provide information about people's civil service lives. These records are one of the most important materials in history. It was first kept since the Middle Ages. These documents provide us with important information about important people who lived in the past. Similar records were kept during the Ottoman period. Records of the state of affairs of all civil servants working in Ottoman state institutions, from the highest to the lowest units, were kept. This process accelerated with the Tanzimat II. During the reign of Abdulhamid II, the biographies of civil servants began to be officially recorded for the first time. The biographies of civil servants were recorded in the Sicill-i Ahval Books created by the Sicill-i Ahval Commission established in 1879. These works constitute the main material of our study. This study, based on the Sicill-i Ahval Records, which constitute one of the most important source materials of recent biographical studies, will be subjected to various evaluations by examining the registry records of a total of 73 civil servants who were born in Kosovo and the settlements connected to Kosovo between 1834-1889. In this way, it will be tried to reveal the level of contribution of Kosovo-born Ottoman civil servants to the administration and enlightenment of the Ottoman Empire by giving detailed information about who the Kosovo- born Ottoman statesmen were, their father's name, father's profession and family name, as well as the schools in which the civil servants studied, whether they graduated from these schools, the languages they spoke, the age at which they started working, the way they started working, the salaries they received, the medals, ranks and insignia given to them.
