Abstract (EN)

This research was conducted to examine the effect of the educational software named "Connect to Life, Not Cigarettes" on high school students' knowledge about smoking harms and their anti-smoking mood development. The experimental phase of the research was conducted with 61 high school students, 35 of whom were girls and 26 of whom were boys, studying in the 10th grade. First of all, the scale used in the research process was applied to each student as a pre-test. Afterwards, the educational software was presented to the students within two course hours. Afterwards, the post-test was applied. Finally, the pre-test and post-test results were analyzed using the SPSS statistical program. As a result of the statistical analyzes, it was concluded that the educational software developed against cigarette addiction had a positive contribution to the knowledge levels of high school students, but there was no significant difference in terms of mood levels. When the educational software developed against cigarette addiction was examined in terms of gender, it was concluded that female students had a significant positive contribution to both their knowledge levels and mood levels, while male students only had a significant positive contribution to their knowledge level, and there was no significant difference in their mood levels.
