Arbitration in dispute arising from insurance agreement

Disputes within the scope of Insurance Law, a branch of Commercial Law, have diversified and increased with the development of the insurance sector. The increase in population in the world, technological developments and facilitating commercial activities as a result of technological developments have led to the diversification of insurance activities and their positive reflection on the insurance sector, as well as increased disputes arising from Insurance Law. During the resolution of disputes within the scope of Increasing Insurance Law, reasons such as the density and functioning of state courts and the absence of specialized courts cause long-lasting proceedings and adversely affect the expected benefit from insurance. The importance of arbitration in Insurance Law has emerged at this point and has taken its place in our law with the Insurance Law. In this study, the resolution process of the disputes arising from Insurance Law before the Insurance Arbitration Commission, the positive and negative aspects of insurance arbitration, the procedure and results of insurance arbitration proceedings are discussed.
