To determine the potential of produced electricity energy by using biogas at provinces Batman and Siirt

One of the renewable energies, biomass energy is an important solution contrary to the energy problems. In recent years, increasing primary energy importation costs, environmental pollution and negative effects of climate change, studies have been accelerated, development and dissemination of bioenergy and biofuel have occurred. At this study, has been purposed to build a biogas plant with cojeneration engine, which has got a daily 11.000 m3 biogas production potential and also has got a 1 MW production of electiricy energy in Kurtalan district located between Siirt and Batman provinces. The reason of the build this plant in district Kurtalan is easy to obtain waste of animals and agriculturals at this area. Initially for this reason, has been determined to biogas potentials the waste of some agricultural crops and animals which are grown between Siirt and Batman provinces. For plant that will be built, has been planned to use 80 ton waste from 5.000 cattlies and 4,93 ton agricultural wastes from stalkes of the corn, barley and wheat in this region. End of this study, has been understood to produce considerable amount of biogas in Batman and Siirt region, thus ıt has been understood pretty much potential of the electiricy energy by using biogas.
