Abstract (EN)
In today?s conditions in which there is a cutthroat competition and constant changes in demands and needs of customers, enterprises have started to look for solutions to make their manifacturing systems flexible and profitable to keep up with this competition. Since life standards have expanded and many alternative products have emerged via technology, companies have a tendency to have a customer-oriented policy. In the first chapter of this study, it is aimed to decrease the expenditures by eliminating the factors which are not valuable in manufacturing process and to meet the demands with the just in time manufacturing. In make to order systems, the ambiquity in demands, range of products, different processing time of the pieces and the number of processes they go through cause a complex flow of manufacture. For this reason, there are problems in planning and controling the manifacturing and delays occur since the orders are not supplied on time. In the second chapter of the study, group technology which aims to produce the similar products at the same time and the concept of manufacturing cell is mentioned in a detailed way. The benefits of these on companies are emphasized. In the third chapter of this study, the component family which is the result of group technology and the practising of manifacturing cell and genetic algorithm which is one of the methods used in modeling manifacturing cells are mentioned. On the scope of the thesis, in a company which does make to order, by taking up the pieces with different features in various orders, the model which is used to compose component families is solved by genetic algorithm method . In order to minimize the deviation between the groups, coefficient of variation is used as a objective function. Algorithm is programmed with Microsoft Visual Studio C# 2.0. Component families are obtained by processing the algorithm and as a result of these part families, suggestions have been made for the forming of machine cells.
