Abstract (EN)

EVALUATION OF THE CORRELATION OF PARK-7 EXPRESSION WITH CLINICAL PARAMETERS IN PATIENTS WITH SYSTEMIC SCLEROSIS SUMMARY The etiopathogenesis of SSc is preserved as an autoimmune disease with unexplained multisystem involvement. PARK-7 is a multifunctional protein found in many tissues. It regulates antioxidant, anti-apoptotic and anti-inflammatory pathways. Although oncoprotein was initially shown, conservatives believe that in the pathogenesis of the disease, such as Parkinson's, diabetes and male infertility, radiation death; In our study, 50 patients with SSc and 30 healthy people in the control group were included in the cells of Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University Hospital Rheumatology outpatient clinic. Demographic characteristics of the patients, clinical pictures, laboratory and radiology results, PFT and echocardiography reports, data on comorbid diseases and drug treatments were obtained from patient files, hospital system examinations and interviews with the patient. Skin fibrosis was evaluated using mRCS. ILD was defined by PFT and HRCT findings, and PAH was defined as a mean PAP above 35 mmHg. Disease distribution was recorded by calculating EScSG and UK Functional activity scoring. It was measured by ELISA method at PARK-7 level in the blood samples of the patients who participated in the thesis. As a result, PARK-7 level was found to be higher in SSc patients compared to the control group, but it was not evaluated as this weight (p=0.220). In the correlation analysis, the correlation between PARK-7 level and the treatments received by the patients was highly limited by the use of MMF, corticosteroid, and PPI (p= 0.037, 0.057, 0.056, respectively). No correlation was found between PARK-7 and other clinical and laboratory parameters. According to the EScSG scoring, the group with active disease and the groups with increased PAP were found to have a high PARK-7 level (p=0.019 , 0.015, respectively). Due to the cross-sectional nature of our research, PARK-7 will need to be heard in the prospective chapters when it comes together as a disease progression, activity detection and treatment option.
