A study on the determination of yield and yield characteristics of some dry bean genotypes in Sivas ecological conditions

The study, which was carried out in 2023 to determine the agricultural characteristics and inter-trait relationships of some dry bean genotypes in Gemerek/Sivas ecological conditions, was established in the experimental field in İnkışla Village of Gemerek district of Sivas province. The study, in which 30 registered dry bean genotypes were used, was conducted with four replications according to the randomized block trial design. In the study, phenological characteristics such as 50% flowering and pod setting day duration (days) and vegetation duration (days) in dry bean genotypes, as well as plant height (cm), first pod height (cm), biological productivity (g), number of pods per plant (pieces) were examined. Agronomic characteristics such as number of grains per plant (pcs), grain yield per plant (g), hundred grain weight (g), number of grains per pod, biological yield (g) and harvest index (%) were examined. As a result of the study, it was revealed that dry bean genotypes were significantly or very significantly affected in terms of the examined phenological and agronomic characteristics. In the study, the lowest hundred grain weight was obtained from genotype G-228 with 31.65 g, the highest hundred grain weight was obtained from genotype K-1084 with 53.81 g; the lowest plant grain yield was obtained from genotype G-260 with 12.48 g, the highest plant grain yield was obtained from genotype K-1084 with 66.14 g; the lowest decare grain yield was obtained from genotype G-260 with 135.29 kg da -1 , and the highest decare grain yield was obtained from genotype K-1084 with 289.24 kg da. -1 As a result of the study, it was seen that having local dry bean genotypes that exceed all standard varieties in many agronomic characteristics is very important for the variety candidate/candidates to stand out.
