Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, the issue of direct democracy in the Slovak Republic has been addressed and the referendum method has been focused on as the main tool of direct democracy. The methodology of the thesis is an analysis of the referendums and their dynamics after the transition to direct democracy. In other words, the thesis consists of the definition and analysis of social events and campaigns associated with these referendums. As a result of his thesis, the similarities and differences between the specificity of the specific referendums and the specificity of the recent referendum on family issues are analyzed. Because this originality can show a new trend in civic activities and brings political debates closer to the field of morality.
