Abstract (EN)
Given the pressing global need to combat climate change and reduce reliance on fossil fuels, integrating renewable energy sources has emerged as a highly promising solution. This master's thesis endeavours to examine and validate the practicality of merging renewable resources, specifically hydroelectric dams, solar panels, and wind farms, to sustain a city entirely without fossil fuel dependency. MATLAB is employed as a robust tool to construct a mathematical model that effectively simulates and substantiates the efficiency of such an integrated renewable energy system. The results obtained from the MATLAB model demonstrate the feasibility of sustaining the city's energy requirements without relying on fossil fuels. The outcome of this project offers a valuable insight into the integration of renewable resources for achieving sustainable energy for the future of cities. Ultimately, this research contributes to the transition towards a greener and more resilient energy infrastructure.
