Abstract (EN)

Noise, which is called disturbing, unwanted, irregular sound ensembles, is one of the most important problems of today. For this reason, noise control applications are rapidly gaining importance. SMS structured nonwovens are frequently used in noise control applications. In this thesis study, SMS type nonwovens of different weights (230, 300 and 500 g/m2) and nanomat structures obtained from 3 different types PAN (Polyacrylonitrile), PVDF (Polyvinylidene fluoride) (THICK) and TPU (Thermoplastic polyurethane) (THICK) polymer were used for noise measurements. A comparison was made between the sound absorption coefficients measured by the impedance tube method and the values measured in the acoustic test setup. For this, paired sample t-test analysis was applied using spss package program. Among the tested polymers, PVDF(THICK) sample was found to have the highest correlation. The dataset with the lowest correlation was in the PAN sample. The PAN sample has a weak correlation of (0,098). Key Words: Nonwovens, Noise, Sound Absorption, Acoustic, Sound Absorption Coefficient
