Abstract (EN)
Withtherapiddevelopment of technology in ourera, manythingssuch as theneeds of individualswhomakeupthesociety, theirlives, theirviews on eventsandfactsareaffected. New occupations, newneedsareformed. One of thebiggestchanges is thecapacity of manpower. Theknowledgeandskillsneeded in the 21st centuryareimportant in terms of adaptingtosocial life andmeetingtheexpectations in thebusinessworld. Tomorrow'sworkforce is today'sstudents. Thequality of teachers is important in shapingtheirquality. Theaim of thisstudyistoinvestigatetherelationshipbetweenprimaryschoolteachers' 21st centuryteachingandlearningskilllevelsandwhetherthislevelchangesaccordingtovariousdemographicvariables. Forthispurpose, 21st centuryteachingandlearningcharacteristics of allclassroomteachersworking in a district in Marmara wereexamined. Inordertoreachthisaim 21st centurylearningand 21st centuryteachingskillsscaleswereused in thisresearch. Inadditiontodescriptivestatistics (frequency, mean, standarddeviation, etc.), ANOVA isusedfortheanalysis of differencesbetweentwogroupsandindependentsample t-test isusedfortheanalysis of differencesbetweenthetwogroups. Finally, Pearsoncorrelationanalysiswasconductedtoexaminetherelationshipbetweenlearnerandteachingskillsandtheirsub-dimensions. As a result, wefoundthat, teacherswithpostgraduateeducationhavehigher21st centuryteachingskillscomparedtoteacherswithundergraduateandassociatedegreeeducation. Wefurtherfoundthatthelevel of use of managerial, consentingandproductiveskillssub-dimensions of teachingskillsarehigher in favor of womenteachers. On theotherhand, wefoundthatteacherskillsdid not differaccordingtoage, seniorityandgraduation of thefaculty of education, andlearnerskillsdid not differaccordingtoalldemographicvariables. Finally, a positiveandmoderaterelationshipwasfoundbetweenteachers' 21st centurylearningandteachingskills. Inotherwords, as learningskilllevelsincrease, sodoesthelevel of teachingskillsusage. It is consideredthattheresearchfindingsprovideusefulresultsforthepractitionersandresearchers in terms of improvingthelearnerandteachingskills of teachers.
