Abstract (EN)
The aim of this master's thesis, conducted by Yasir Alsamiri, is to carry out a validity and reliability study of a scale developed to measure the attitudes of Saudi primary school teachers towards the identification and support of twice-exceptional children, who are both gifted and have learning difficulties, under Turkish conditions. During the adaptation process of the original scale, which was prepared in English, it was first translated into Turkish and then presented to experts in the field of language and content. Necessary modifications were made to the scale based on the experts' suggestions, and to determine whether the English and Turkish versions of the scale carry the same meaning, it was administered to a group of English-speaking teachers with a two-week interval. The Turkish version of the scale, which achieved linguistic equivalence, was applied to 480 primary school teachers. As a result of the validity and reliability analyses, it was concluded that the scale is a valid and reliable tool that can be used to determine the attitudes of primary school teachers working in schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education in Turkey towards the identification and support of twice-exceptional children.
